The Child Development Resource Center offers resources to providers that include required training and certifications, as well as professional growth opportunities.

Required Training

 Get assistance finding classes in Pediatric CPR/First Aid and Preventative Health classes. Partial reimbursement may also be available following successful completion of the classes.

Professional Growth

Explore the ongoing classes and workshops offered on topics such as building a sustainable business, understanding infant and toddler development, providing positive guidance and discipline, supporting children with special needs and English language learners, and learning about trauma and its effects on behavior and development

California Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP)

The Child Care Initiative Project funded by the CA Department of Social Services, aims to increase the supply and improve the quality of early education and care in Santa Cruz County. The project offers support to become licensed, advice and technical assistance, free trainings and one-on-one consultations.
