This interactive at-a-glance mapping tool shows the location of licensed child care centers and family child care homes in Santa Cruz County. It also shows where public schools and private schools are located.
This tool augment’s the Child Development Resource Center child care referral services, helping people view the landscape of current child care options. For planning purposes, the second tab on the map also includes some interesting demographic features. For example, there are numerous options in some areas, and a clear shortage in other parts of the county.
The map will help inform where new providers should be recruited to increase the supply of available child care in Santa Cruz County and meet families’ needs.
